Definitely. My name is Stephen Andrews – I have been a software developer for 13 years, with the last 5 years solely in the blockchain space. I joined the ICP development ecosystem this year in April, with my good friend Mac (who is our lead designer). We have hired 3 additional people:

Max – he is our COO/CFO, he has an MBA from Oxford and worked as a VP at Chess.com

Bob – he is our CPO, is known in the ICP community as the man behind icpguide and the NFT Village, and has a PhD

And Steve E – our CMO, based in Boston, who was associated with the Motoko School and is a well known figure in the ICP Community as well

We are about to finish our seed funding round, and will begin to hire more developers asap

2) Infrastructure development through Exponent, which is similar to Enjin on ethereum, and includes our wallet and other tools

3) Marketplace – entrepot.app which is currently seeing volumes in the $MM USD

Q1: While working with the team to develope this project, what MISSION did you and your team set for yourself as one of the pioneers in the field of Game NFTs on ICP in Vietnam? From the aforementioned Mission, would you like to share more about the CORE VALUES that Cronic is aiming for in the future?

Steve A

Our aim is to become an established development firm within the IC ecosystem, and we want Cronics to be one of the first P2E gaming ecosystems. Our mission is to continue to deliver innovation after innovation with all of our products. We want Cronics to maintain a self-governed, auto-adjusting ecosystem where new players fund existing players to “play to earn” and everyone can resell their time-investment into the game in the form of NFTs

Hm…, I think I had my answer for this question because I am a fan of Cronic and IC ecosystem ^^. But I wanna hear clearly from you.

Q2: Why did you choose the ICP platform as the place to build the Cronic project, while the ICP ecosystem was just launched not long ago? What is special about the ICP platform that makes you confident that your project will develop successfully on it?

Steve A

ICP has two main benefits in our eyes – infinite scaling, and a reverse gas fee model. This means we can develop applications where end users don’t even know they are interfacing directly with a blockchain. You can see this with Rise of the Magni – you can login and play using just your google account, without even realising that behind the scenes you actually own NFTs and are playing a blockchain game.

Wow, I used to play Rise of the Magni, It is really interesting and requires high tactics. And I’m really impressed with the simple operation when it is a blockchain game

I believe that Cronic will be even more impressive when it launchs

Next question

Q3: Will Cronics NFT games need to be deployed on a side-chain instead of ICP main chain (similar to Axie’s Ronin) or the game could run fluently on ICP? Will side-chain deployment have validators and token to pay them for hosting the chain?

Steve A

Cronics can run directly on the main IC chain – this is a huge benefit of the IC. We don’t need to run a dedicated side chain like Ronin, Enjin or ImmutableX – we can run everything directly on the core IC blockchain. We want to build Exponent, which provides the tooling the a sidechain provides, but without the need of a sidechain. This will ultimately run as the platform layer beneath Cronics

Q4: Please reveal the mechanism of making money in the game? I am a complete newbie and the price of 1 pair of cronic gen 0 to play is 1k usd, how can I reduce the cost?

Steve A

Gen0 Cronics will always be more expensive because they can always breed (never go sterile). Once breeding begins and we go live, we believe low quality and sterile (can’t breed) Cronics should sell for about $20. This allows anyone to play some of the basic games without much investment. From here, you can slowly earn CRN to buy stronger Cronics. This method would be slower than investing in stronger Cronics, which will give you an earnings boost earlier on. Investing into building a breeding farm will also generate long term income as well.

We also want to implement leasing – the ability to lease other Cronics to play and earn with, paying a share of earnings back to the actual owner.

We believe there will be 3 types of users within our ecosystem (note a single player can conform to more than one type). These are:

Players – people who just want to collect Cronics, wearables and play games. They’re not too focused on P2E, but they do like the idea that in future they can sell their hard earned NFTs, or lease them out for and make money. Players just want to have fun!

Earners – people who want to earn real money extremely efficiently. These players will purchase Cronics and items that best achieve this goal, and will implement different strategies based on what they believe will generate the most revenue for them. Generated CRN can be sold to breeders, or used to purchase Cronics which can be sold on the marketplace. Earners want to maximize earning potential without having to invest a lot up front.

Breeders – people who want to earn by breeding new stock. CRN is a requirement to breed, so breeders will need to acquire CRN from Earners or Players, or by playing themselves. Offspring are more valuable than the CRN required to breed them. Breeders want to generate passive income by running breeding farms and selling Cronics – it requires an upfront investment, but has the highest return.

But I have a question, when you launch Cronic game to get a Cronic with low quality and sterile (can’t breed), how long does it take us?

Steve A

I think once official breeding starts, we should see cheaper Cronics hitting the market within the first few weeks. A lot of new users trying to buy Cronics will keep increasing the floor, but we believe with the breeding settings that we will set this should even out

We think the tiers will look like this:

God tier: Gen0 with good stats

Tier 2: All other Gen0

Tier 3: Gen1+ Good stats with some breeding left

Tier 4: Gen1+ Bad stats, with some breeding left

Tier 5: Gen1+ Good stats, sterile

Tier 6: Gen1+ Bad stats, sterile

Q5:

1. P2E games often require a lot of money to start. So How much do I need to start playing this game?

2. How do you control your token to avoid inflation?

3. Will your token be listed on any Dex and Cex in the future?

4. Can I buy your token in presale?

Steve A

1: For people who just want to play, you can buy a very basic Cronic (Tier 6) for $20 (low quality and can’t breed). This is enough to get started. You can also lease Cronics for a share of earnings as well.

2: We have a number of breeding and supply mechanisms all designed to ensure that the different parts of the ecosystem work with each other to ensure supply is kept under control. We will continue to adjust these parameters as well – these include breeding delay, breeding costs and more. In future, we want this to be self-governed by Cronic holders, sort of like a DAO.

3: Our NFTs are already available on the main IC NFT marketplace, entrepot.app. We are also developing a swap for our core token, CRN, and ICP. We will continue to list of NFT and CRN tokens on more exchanges when they become available

4: Our Cronic NFTs will be going up for sale on October 19th (5000 Gen0 being sold), utilizing a drop auction mechanism. This means the price will open up, and then every minute it will drop lower until someone buys. All Cronics purchased at the October 19th sales will also receive an airdrop of CRN tokens. We are also dropping CRN tokens to users helping with testing our breeding platform right now as well.

1. As we all know, NFT (on IC) and Metaverse are quite new trend. They are going so fast and might come to an end soon. How will you tell us that Cronics is a long-term project? Do you have enough funding and strong team to be able to develop this project in the future? As my observation, your team are developing many projects. That’s why I’m concerned.

2. The liquidity of a project is what investors really care about, how would you solve the liquidity problem of this project?

Steve A

1: Cronics will remain one of the first IC NFTs with P2E built-in, and we have enough funding to continue to develop it in the near future. We will eventually move Cronics to becoming a completely self-governed DAO project, where Cronic holders can vote on the future of the platform and game. The fact that we are working on so many projects shows the strength of our team – we are not fixed on a single venture, we have a number of avenues which will continue to grow our team. We are about to complete our seed funding which will allow us to continue to build all of our current projects into the foreseeable future.

2: Not really sure what this refers to – NFTs are a bit different when it comes to liquidity. We do also have a normal token, CRN, which we plan to setup a ICP CRN swap

1. What is your strongest advantage that you think will make your team leading the market? In contrast, what is your weakness? How do you plan to overcome it?

2. Most of the new investors, only focus on the price of the token, and the short term benefits of the project rather than understanding the true value of the project. Can you tell us about the motivations and benefits for investors to hold your tokens long term?

Steve A

1: Our biggest advantage is first mover advantage, and the fact that we also develop the main IC marketplace. Our biggest weakness is that we have so much we want to develop and not enough time – as we complete the October sales, and with our seed funding, we can begin to overcome this by putting more money into development resources.

2: Gen0 Cronics are considered to be eternal breeders – they will also be able to breed, and will hold value as the main source of new Cronics into the ecosystem. The value of Gen0 Cronics will continue to rise as more users start to play the games.

Q9: What is the security measures of your project? How will you deal with hacking and Bugs problem in the smart contract?

Steve A

Our main focus is securing the ledger, which we are very happy about. As we roll out changes we run them within a testing platform first so we can find any potential bugs and fix them. This is what we are currently doing with our breeding platform

As you know, we are the investors we just want to focus about the profit and revenue for our investment. This will be through running breeding farms – breeding Cronics and selling them to the market for CRN/ICP. CRN is then reused to continue breeding, and ICP can be cashed out as revenue. This will be the typical earning method for a breeder that doesn’t play the games. Long term, breeding farms will generate a lot of passive income, and will rely on new players entering the ecosystem to “play to earn”

Yes – you can “stake” Cronics into powercells, allowing you to increase your earnings and gain other bonuses too. The rarer the Cronic the larger the boost!

Yes, you can stake rare Cronics to earn % bonus in earnings and other rewards. We also have a burn mechanism – you can burn a Cronic to reduce your breeding delay so you can breed faster. This will help with managing supply too. You can read more here:

We have a marketing strategy for a number of markets – Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino as well as English. We want to partner with existing companies in these locations to assist with targeted marketing to help expand our P2E ecosystem

We have 4 core team members (CEO/CTO, CFO/COO, CPO and a CMO), and we are working with about 6 developers and 2 designers. We want to further expand our team and continue to hire full time employees. We can also rely on our seed investors to assist us with their resources when we need to as well (contacts in the industry etc)

We generate a % of CRN used as breeding fees, the rest is burnt. This CRN can be swapped with ICP. Breeders need CRN to keep breeding
