1.  What is Psychedelic?

Psychedelic is a decentralized venture studio focused on building products on the Internet Computer. They’re a group of builders and creators working together to build & collaborate on projects, improvement proposals, standards, and Open Internet Services on the Internet Computer. The goal is to eventually become a fully community owned and operated (and tokenized) DAO.

2.  Psychedelic’s goal

Creating a collaboration-first community for:

  • Discussing and proposing improvements and standards for the Internet Computer
  • Help fund + launch projects and Open Internet Services that benefit the Internet Computer ecosystem
  • Provide a space for like-minded community members and projects to coordinate, collaborate, learn, and build the IC ecosystem together

3.1 Plug

What is Plug?

Plug is a browse extension that allows you to access your ICP, Cycles, NFTs and other tokens as well as log into Internet Computer apps with one click. Plug is currently supported on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Brave browsers. Users can download and use the Plug wallet on the Google Chrome browser at the link

Why Plug? What is different?

For users? It means having one main wallet (your Principal ID) in your browser to manage all your assets (Cycles, ICP, tokens, NFT’s, etc.) and to log into any IC app. No need to worry about having separate wallets for different apps and tokens, or having multiple identities per device/app (like you would when using Internet Identity).

  • Log into IC apps from your browser in one click using the same Principal ID.
  • Manage, send and receive all your IC assets from one place, with one ID.
  • Save contacts (name ID’s) in a local storage address book.

For developers? It will help offer seamless web, app experiences on the Internet Computer, handling authentication and wallet connection for their users. The same experience a Dapp user would expect on Ethereum, but built for the Internet Computer.

  • Authenticate users, and their balances, in one click with just a Principal ID.
  • Trigger transfers or transaction requests to user’s wallets from apps.
  • Query and display a user’s balances in the app.

3.2 Terabethia

What Terabethia?

Terabethia is a bridge between Ethereum and the Internet Computer, built on a forked version of StarkWare’s messaging protocol & contracts, that will allow contracts on either network to communicate with each other, as well as allow assets to hop back and forth between the two networks.

As well as additional capabilities that are unique to the IC (compared to other L2’s) such as enhanced compute/storage capabilities, hosting/serving front ends directly from smart contracts, native IC/ETH integration, among others.

Terabethia’s goal

Similar to the way Ethereum significantly extended the functionality, usefulness, and value of BTC, we think the IC has potential to do the same for Ethereum assets and applications, and could even potentially become the best L2 for Ethereum long term.

Terabethia will help kick start that vision with its Magic Proxy & Token Factory, two key aspects of the Terabethia bridge protocol that will allow anyone to deposit any ERC20, ERC721, or ERC 1155 token on Ethereum (starting with ERC20 and adding the others soon after), and get a mirrored balance of that token or NFT on the Internet Computer by programmatically spawning a canister for that asset using the equivalent token standards that we’ve created for the IC: DIP20DIP721, & DIP1155 (coming soon).

This enables seamless and automatic bridging of assets from Ethereum to the Internet Computer without needing to modify or rewrite any contracts or code! 3.3 Sonic

What is Sonic?

Definance is joining Psychedelic (the developer collective) and rebranding to Sonic in a move to bring DeFi to the Internet Computer in the best way possible.

Sonic aims to be the DeFi hub on the Internet Computer, leveraging the IC’s unlimited scalability and web-scale user experience to build the future of finance. Sonic is composed of a collection of DeFi protocols, enabling users to issue their own tokens, trade their tokens and earn rewards by providing liquidity. More financial primitives are coming in the future.

What are Sonic building?

The goal of Sonic is to be the DeFi hub on the Internet Computer, they are building open financial services infrastructure for the DFINITY Internet Computer, starting from the very bottom of the whole DeFi ecosystem: token standard. On top of that, they will build a token issuance app and a decentralized exchange(DEX) targeting both ordinary users and developers.

Ordinary users can easily issue and exchange their tokens on our platform. Developers can issue tokens for their projects with our token issuance app and build their products based on the APIs of our DEX.

After that, we will continue to build DeFi products on DFINITY and make the Sonic platform the open financial services hub for the Internet Computer

Version 1.0 of Sonic is Coming!

What’s next? Sonic’ll keep working on the Sonic protocols/platform, getting ready for the V1 release (including Swaps & Liquidity) after the successful testnet they had.

3.4 Cap (Certified Asset Provenance)

What is CAP?

CAP is a standard agnostic open internet service that provides transaction history & asset provenance to assets (NFTs and Tokens) on the IC. It solves the issue that there is no standard for transaction history/provenance when it comes to assets (or activity in general) on the Internet Computer in a scalable and trustless way that any project can integrate and that is flexible enough to evolve into general activity provenance in the future (recording any type of event for any type of project).

CAP has two clear use cases

For NFTs/Token Projects – A History & Provenance Provider

When it comes to NFTs/Tokens on the Internet Computer, CAP is a service that they can integrate to give their assets a scalable, trustless, and standardized transaction history.

Instead of building, maintaining, and scaling a custom transaction history canister infrastructure; a new or existing project can connect their asset’s canister to CAP to access a transaction history seamlessly and start gathering records for their asset’s events (mint, transfer, sell, etc..) as the methods themselves are triggered in the NFT/Token canister.

The records will be gathered and saved in a project-specific history in CAP; and the Token/NFT can still access its own history by calling the NFT/Token’s own methods directly (e.g. getTransaction), not needing to call CAP itself.

For UIs/Apps – A Way to Surface Asset History Data

Now, on the other hand, for UIs, apps, and front-ends that deal with assets in their experiences; they can integrate to CAP to surface the transaction history of any asset using CAP.

CAP’s main canister acts as a router to all the histories of all projects integrating CAP; therefore a UI, instead of having to integrate and call to each asset’s history individually (as it happens today), can instead use CAP’s main canister as a router to access all the assets transaction history easily.

It provides a cleaner and easier way of giving users visual access to their asset’s transaction history and opens the door to amazingly transparent & trust-oriented experiences, like:

  • Showing an NFT’s past sales, owners, and prices on a marketplace.
  • Showing a user historic transactions for more tokens than just ICP.
  • Building UIs & apps that analyze an asset’s movements and activit

Cap airdropped 10,000 Crowns to Plug wallet users and participated in their airdrop event. Besides being dope accessories, as a 3D asset that you can import to your metaverse avatars in the future, Crowns can potentially in the future have utility within the CAP Protocol/DAO itself once it launches fully as an open internet service on the Internet Computer.

3.5 MetaSports BasketBall

What is MetaSports Basketball?

The MBA is the Metasports Basketball Association, a blockchain-based basketball management game built on Ethereum, StarkWare’s StarkNet, IPFS, and the Internet Computer blockchain (with the help of the Terabethia bridge) that will bring the entire basketball ecosystem (franchises, players, coaches, fans, stadiums, and so on) into an e-sports metaverse videogame experience.

Core Gameplay

MBA is a basketball management simulation game, one of the first with an evolving NFT ecosystem where players grow in stats, become legends, retire, go out on loans, and more.

If you’re a GM, a team manager. Build different teams, make player choices to build the perfect squad for each opponent, and make quick decisions to adjust your team mid-season to ensure you take the lead.

The game utility token $BALL. It will be used to buy NFTs and play in the leagues and tournaments. Once you have your own NFT MBA players, you can start creating the best team combinations! By playing in free tournaments and seasons you can earn additional NFTs and $BALL tokens to open more possibilities for your team.

Salaries & Tiers

MetaSports is a game accessible to anyone thank to its low cost of entry, and tiered leagues based on overall & individual NFT player salaries (based on skill).

To allow anyone to participate at all levels of competition (low stakes, and high stakes!) we created a tiered system that divides players into leagues based on their team’s salary cap.

You will be able to play in different leagues. This will depend on your player’s skills and salary. It is going to be auto-calculated on the game. Each player has a salary based on their overall rating. League tiers will vary by the salary cap and create a fair yet competitive game that provides scalability for lower-rated teams.

The skill of your players will define their salary. The higher their skill (as they grow and train), the higher the salary of your player, and overall team. When participating in a Salary Season (see below) players will need to pay $BALL tokens as an entry fee based on the salary of their overall team (the $BALL fee will be used in a prize pool that season). The higher the team skill and salary; the higher the stakes and rewards.

Game modes

There are four main game modes in Metasports Basketball. Two season modes (Salary & Free), one Tournament mode, and a private match system. There’s a fifth game mode, not directly related to your team playing but a core game mechanic: Loans & Borrowing.

  • Salary Season

Pay your NFTs salaries using $BALL to enter high stake seasons against other users to win large prize pools of $BALL and $MBA.

  • Free Season

Play a season without having to pay any salary. Gain experience and progress your NFTs to the next level as well as earn $BALL and small amounts of $MBA.

  • Free Tournament

Freeroll exhibition tournaments every hour to win various prizes including new NFTs, $MBA, and $BALL.

  • Private

1v1 private match game mode to practice your GM skills.

  • Loans & Borrowing

Loan your NFTs for $MBA/$BALL and/or percentage in other users’ season winnings of $MBA/$BALL. Borrow players from other teams using this mechanic to boost your team in a season at a low cost.

4. Conclusion

Those are the latest information about outstanding projects that I have compiled from Psychedelic media channels. It can be seen that Psychedelic is gradually completing a general picture in the IC ecosystem. With Plug is a handy secure asset storage wallet. Terabethia Bridge connects assets from Ethereum to IC. Sonic an AMM & DeFi Hub. CAP determines the origin of assets on the IC. And MetaSports Basketball a basketball Metaverse, P2E game on IC.

There are also many other outstanding projects that are gradually building infrastructure in the Internet Computer ecosystem in general and Psychedelic in particular.
